Welcome to Easton CE Primary

We are pleased to welcome you to the Easton CE Primary School

'Being different. Belonging together'

Our vision is Being Different. Belonging Together.

Our Bible verse is ‘Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God.’   (Micah 6 verse 8)

This means: Be fair, be kind, listen to God and other people.

Welcome from the Headteacher

A very warm welcome to Easton CE Primary School

We are an inclusive school that is the heart of this diverse community. Our vision is 'being different belonging together' which is lived through our schools bible verse Micah 6:8 'Act justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God'. We believe everyone is special and unique and this should be celebrated. We want all our children to thrive and flourish by having high expectations, aspirations and focussing on teaching to remember. Our approach to behaviour is a restoritive approach that is managed with clarity and kindness.

Our school is committed to being outward facing by working closely with the local community and has strong links with the neighbouing Easton Family Centre, Trinity Centre and our partner Lighthouse Schools Partnership.

We are blessed for an inner city school to have such a large outside space with a huge field, wooded area for forest school, large playground and MUGA.

Visiting our school is strongly encouraged to feel that sense of belonging in a friendly, vibrant community where staff and families flouish together.

I look forward to welcoming you to our school,

David Kooyman

Headteacher

Three Bristol primary schools join Lighthouse Schools Partnership

We are delighted to announce that three schools have officially joined Lighthouse Schools Partnership as of 1 January 2025. They are Easton CE Primary School, Fishponds CE Primary School and St Mary Redcliffe CE Primary School increasing the total number of schools within the Trust to 33. This moment is a significant one for Lighthouse Schools Partnership as from this point onwards the Trust will be serving schools in the vibrant heart of a major city (Bristol) as well as rural or commuter-town schools. These schools have previously been part of the Diocese of Bristol Academy Trust (DBAT) and are transferring as a result of DBAT ceasing operation.

Extending a warm welcome, LSP Chief Executive Dr Gary Lewis, commented: “We are delighted to welcome these three schools to our Trust. I am very excited and optimistic about the future as we take on our new responsibilities in Bristol. It is a privilege to be part of the very successful work that the schools are already doing and we are looking forward to working together to help them continue to flourish.”

Lighthouse Schools Partnership is a Schools Trust formed in September 2016 with 33 schools across the age range from Nursery to Sixth Form located in Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset and North Somerset. The Trust is a not-for-profit organisation with the key aim of ‘advancing education for public benefit’.

Schools within Lighthouse Schools Partnership are organised within ‘hubs’. We currently have four hubs: Portishead, Backwell, Churchill and Chew Valley. These three new school form our new (fifth) Bristol Hub and we hope that more schools will join our Bristol hub in the future.
